Himalaya Summit Club proudly hosted a 20-day Technical Mountaineering Course \u2013 Level-I in the majestic Langtang Valley for 16 participants from NUSMountaineering, Singapore. The training culminated in a successful summit of Mt. Scout Peak at 5,780 meters, with every participant reaching the top\u2014marking a 100% summit success rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Itinerary Highlights<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccd Kathmandu Arrival & Preparation (Day 1\u20132)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course began with arrival in Kathmandu, followed by gear checks, equipment rentals, and an orientation session led by IFMGA\/UIAGM certified guides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udeb6\u200d<\/strong>\u2642\ufe0f Trekking & Acclimatization (Day 3\u20137)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team trekked from Syabrubesi to Kyanjin Gompa via Lama Hotel and Langtang Village, progressively acclimatizing and receiving early lessons in mountain navigation, knot work, and camp management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team moved to Tsorku Peak Base Camp, where hands-on mountaineering training intensified:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-Arrest & Glacier Travel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ice Climbing & Belay Techniques<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All 16 participants successfully summited Mt. Scout (5,780m) on May 22nd, a testament to their endurance and the effectiveness of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\uddca Bonus Ice Climbing & Descent (Day 15\u201320)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-summit activities included ice climbing on frozen waterfalls near Kyanjin Gompa and the return trek to Syabrubesi, concluding with the team\u2019s return to Kathmandu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
